WCMS Goes Gold!

On November 22, 2013, four-year-old Keris Bembry was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Immediately after receiving the diagnosis, there was an outpouring of love, prayers and financial support from family, friends and total strangers. As a result, Keris Kares was founded to provide that same hope, love, and support to families that find themselves in similar situations due to a childhood cancer diagnosis.

WCMS and other schools have joined forces to help bring an end to childhood cancers. During the week of September 25-29, 2017, the Wilkinson County Middle School has been sponsoring several “Going Gold” events to raise funds. Thanks to 13WMAZ and our very own Braylin Edwards for spotlighting one our "Courage Chains".

Also, this week we are having a “Koins for Keris” campaign. Students are encouraged to bring in coins to donate during the first block. On behalf of Keris Kares, we thank our students, faculty, and staff in advance for their support and efforts to give back to our own.
