An Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax
(E-SPLOST) is a one-penny sales tax that may be used by school systems to build new facilities, renovate existing structures, improve school bus fleets, upgrade HVAC systems and pay debt from previous projects.

The Board of Education is calling for a March 21st vote on reauthorizing the current E-SPLOST (penny sales tax). 

You can find answers about the E-Splost here. However if you still have questions please attend one of the town hall meetings led by Dr. Aaron Geter to discuss the E-Splost on the following dates:

Tuesday: February 21, 2017

McIntyre City Hall: 6 p.m.

Toomsboro City Hall: 7 p.m.


Thursday: February 23, 2017

Allentown City Hall: 6 p.m.

Danville City Hall: 7 p.m.


Monday: February 27, 2017

Gordon City Hall: 6 p.m.
